For Eastern Representative
L3118806
Having grown up in the East of England, I see the potential that exists across our communities. As your Eastern Representative, I want to set the expectation that I will turn up across our region by engaging with all our members from rural and coastal areas to urban and commuter towns. Ever since I joined the Labour Party, I have supported various campaigns throughout the East. I will continue to be proactive because our region deserves a representative who will listen, turn up, and deliver. A representative can’t fix everything but they can connect people and make sure that voices don’t disappear. Real representation is not merely about listening to people; it is about staying in touch.
In the East, too many young members feel disconnected from the national party. I want to change this by strengthening our communication both online and in person. I will help set up local Young Labour groups across the region and ensure that they stay active beyond election times, revitalising our communities. I also want to expand access to political education and training by creating spaces where members can share ideas and develop practical skills as informed by the Campaign Champion Academy. This work must be accessible across the whole region and be coordinated with Labour Students and our officers to have a real impact on the ground. I will judge my success by whether local groups are supported to be part of our movement.
