Chloe Tapper
For Welsh Representative
L1868312
Shwmae, my name is Chloe Tapper, and I am standing to be your next Chair of Welsh Young Labour. Originally from Pontypool, I recently graduated with a degree in Politics from Cardiff University.
Since joining the Labour Party, I have actively campaigned to support the election of Labour candidates at all levels of government, including in Monmouthshire and the Vale of Glamorgan ahead of the 2024 General Election.
I currently work as a Constituency Support Officer for two Labour MPs, a role that has equipped me with a strong understanding of how Labour policy can deliver real change for communities across Wales.
I have extensive experience of organising and delivering events. As part of my role in the Office of Jessica Morden MP, I recently coordinated a week-long work experience programme, bringing together a range of guest speakers to inspire young people from diverse backgrounds to pursue careers in politics.
If elected, I would bring a strong understanding of how to strengthen and sustain youth membership, drawing on my experience mobilising and engaging young members as former Treasurer of Cardiff Labour Students.
I am deeply proud to be a member of the Labour Party - a party founded on the principles of equality and justice, and resolute in its commitment to breaking down barriers to opportunity.
With your support, I will ensure that Welsh young members have a strong and influential voice on Young Labour's National Committee.
Diolch.
