Callum McGee
For London Representative
L1926753
My name is Callum McGee, and I’m standing for London Representative on the Young Labour National Committee!
Young members are the beating heart of our movement, and like many of you I have seen first-hand from growing up in London how important Labour representation is. The upcoming local elections will be crucial, and with so many races on a knife-edge, each conversation we have on the doorstep can make the difference in electing Labour councillors.
That’s why it’s so important that we have an energised, inclusive, and organised London Young Labour, where everyone has a role to play. After chairing KCL Labour, I recognise the challenges we face in mobilising young people. I made it my mission to boost our presence on campus, and was proud to see the society’s membership more than double in my time as Chair. That is the impact of motivating young people to get involved.
If we want an energetic London Young Labour, it has to be inclusive. Whether you’re new to the Party or a regular weekend canvasser, your voice should be heard. Building a welcoming community for all young members is the best way to win in London and champion our fantastic local candidates.
Fundamentally, this campaign isn’t about me - I want to hear what you think. Get in touch with any questions, ideas, or just for a chat about how London Young Labour can work for you. I look forward to hearing from you!
