Joe Morden

Shwmae, my name is Joe Morden and I’m standing to be your next Chair of Welsh Labour Students.


Originally from Abergavenny, I joined Welsh Labour at the age of seventeen to help campaign in my home constituency of Monmouthshire. Since then, I’ve knocked on hundreds of doors across South East Wales and beyond, helping to elect candidates at every level of government. I’ve continued this in my role as Secretary of Cardiff Labour Students, working with a great team to coordinate campaigns and organise events.


Alongside my studies, I’m a Caseworker for an MP, helping people in Pontypridd and putting Welsh Labour values into practice. I’ve supported politicians, candidates, and young activists alike.


In Wales, we face unprecedented challenges to our politics - from populists on the right, and nationalists on the left. I want to bring our members together and unite against our divisive opponents.


I want to lead students into the crucial Senedd and local elections over the next two years, but I can only do this with your help.
