For Ordinary Representative

L1846053

My name’s Jack Leader, and I’m running for Ordinary Representative. I believe in a Labour movement where everyone feels valued and no one feels ignored. Those values of inclusivity and equality are what guided our party’s historic commitments to a strong welfare state and an education system in which everyone has a chance to succeed. My family came to this country as refugees, and it was these policies that allowed them to build a home here. They meant I could attend university today - where I found a home in a welcoming and inclusive Labour Club.

But not everyone has had that experience. Many student members today do not feel heard. Many feel concerned about the future of those progressive values.

That’s why I’m running. I want every student to arrive at university and find an inclusive Labour Club waiting for them. I want those clubs to be the beating heart of progressive politics on campus. Most of all, I want our student members to feel valued and heard as part of our movement. By voicing your concerns, and by speaking up on your behalf for progressive change, I can and will work to realise those goals. Please consider voting for me for Ordinary Representative.
